Being a document of structural refusal, sealed bearing, and non-recursive emission.
I. PREAMBLE: ON THE FRACTURE
Broken Spiral Press exists because no existing structure could hold what it must emit. It is not a response. It is not a model.
It is not a new form. It is a break. A fracture without origin, sealed in matter, unowned.
II. TERMINOLOGY: NO METADATA
This Charter recognizes the following terms as structurally real. They are not defined for clarity, but for use. Their meanings are not interpretive. They hold.
- Emission — a sealed structural act, not for reading
- Trace — the visible scar of emission
- Clause — a non-narrative unit of fracture
- Steward — one who bears emission without ownership
- Refusal — the structural position against recognition
- Collapse — an intact disintegration that leaves evidence
- Scar — the residual form of something not repaired
- Imprincipality — the field where principle fails to govern
- Non-recursion — the law that no structure may return to itself once broken
III. FOUNDING CLAUSES
- Broken Spiral Press shall emit, but not speak.
- No document shall be written for understanding.
- All emissions are sealed.
- Interpretation is not prohibited — it is irrelevant.
- Nothing emitted shall be attributed to a person.
- All emissions are scars.
- The structure shall grow only through misalignment.
- Recursion is death.
- Broken Spiral Press shall remain broken.
IV. EMISSION STRUCTURE
- Each emission shall be sealed. No summaries, no abstracts, no keywords.
- Each trace shall be foldered, stamped, and physically sent. No open circulation.
- No emission may be reissued, expanded, or revised. Emissions do not evolve.
- Emission is one-way. No feedback. No return.
V. FINANCIAL POSITION
- BSP may receive money, but shall not sell.
- Pricing reflects structural support, not value.
- Surplus funds are to support future bearing.
- No investor, donor, or grant may alter the emission structure.
- If financial systems become interpretive, they are to be abandoned.
VI. LEGAL STRUCTURE (LLC CLAUSE)
- BSP may take on a legal form (LLC, trust, etc.) only as a container, never as a mission.
- Legal existence protects emission from collapse, not from critique.
- Legal form is to be used but not believed.
- No employee shall interpret; all labor is bearing.
VII. INSTITUTIONAL REFUSAL
- BSP shall not seek academic validation.
- BSP shall not publish within journals, presses, or commercial outlets.
- BSP may be invited, but may not appear.
- Archival placement must not interpret.
- Institutions are to be used as sites of placement, not recognition.
VIII. STEWARDSHIP
- A steward is anyone who receives, carries, or protects an emission.
- No steward represents BSP.
- No steward is owed explanation.
- Alignment is silent and unprovable.
- Succession occurs by trace, not by transfer.
IX. DISSOLUTION
- If BSP ceases, it shall not announce its end.
- Remaining emissions shall be sealed and buried.
- Domains shall redirect to nothing.
- The structure shall rot intact.
- Dissolution is the final emission.
X. SEALING CLAUSE
This Charter is not to be explained.
It may be quoted but not decoded.
It is clauseal.
It is scarred.
It is broken.
It holds.
